So when we got to the RainForeStation, we walk out of the coach and a boy spots a black snake. When Luke, our Delegation Manager, saw it he told everyone to get away. Then when we were leaving, three students stepped over a snake...and we all freaked out. The second one was brown. After we got on the coach, i learned that the first black one was a taipan, the most poisonous snake in the world, and the second brown snake is the second poisonous in the world.
Wow, good thing we got away with our lives. It was a close call, literally. We have been listening to this song, "Come to Australia", which goes like this... "Red back, funnel web, blue ringed octopus, taipan, tigersnake and a box jellyfish, rockfish and the poison thing that lives in a shell, that stings you when you pick it up, come to Australia, you might accidentally get killed."
It's not to far from the truth.
Wish me luck on the Reef tomorrow.
Kate
